All 10 WWE PPVs John Cena Has Missed In The Last Decade

6. Unforgiven 2008

As noted earlier, John Cena returned quicker than anyone could have ever anticipated in the 2008 Royal Rumble match, winning it and going on to compete at WrestleMania 24 XXIV for the WWE Championship. Sadly for Cena, it wasn't long before he was on the shelf again, this time with a herniated disk. Coming off his loss to Batista at SummerSlam, he was set to take part in the first ever World Heavyweight Championship Scramble match at Unforgiven. It was announced shortly before the event that Cena was removed from the match due to injury and Rey Mysterio took his place. The Scramble match was a fun concept, and the pay-per-view buys were up from 2007, but that didn't stop WWE from retiring the gimmick as well as the PPV that year. Who knows whether Cena's involvement would have changed anything, but chances are it probably wouldn't have.
