All 21 NXT-To-WWE Call-Ups - Ranked From Worst to Best
11. Braun Strowman
When I was complaining this list, I initially forgot all about Braun Strowman. He technically was a developmental call-up, despite never officially appearing on NXT TV.
Eagle-eyed viewers may have seen him dressed up as a Party City gladiator in Adam Rose’s entourage, but his only matches were on untelevised live events until he got the call to replace the injured Erick Rowan.
In terms of seeming like a big deal right off the bat, though, Strowman looked great. He got to completely ragdoll two of WWE’s biggest stars in Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, dispatching them both with ease.
As the feud between the expanded Family and the Shield Bros intensified, Strowman continued to be protected, defeating Chris Jericho in a six-man tag at Night of Champions.
Can't really argue with that sort of booking for a newbie, really.
