Here’s a match that no Earthly reason to be good, yet was.

Thanks to the power of being friends with Triple H, Kevin Nash was bafflingly in a main event program in 2003, despite having the mobility of [insert something quite immobile for comedic effect]. In order to add intrigue for Nash and Hunter’s Hell in a Cell match, Mick Foley is added as the special guest referee. And strangely, it works.

By no means a classic, this is still a brutal, bloody cell match that has you really invested by the end. Despite the earlier dig at Kevin Nash, he tries hard and bleeds just as much as Hunter, and the crowd do pop when he hits his Jacknife powerbomb. However, the star of the match is Foley, and the crowd are the most invested when he gets physical with Triple H. Really, the only big negative of the match is that you wish Triple H was wrestling Foley rather than Nash.

Still, for what this is, it could have been so much worse, and it’s worth checking out if you haven’t seen it.
