All 33 June WWE PPV Main Events Ranked From Worst To Best

29. King Of The Ring 2002 (The Undertaker Vs. Triple H)

Triple H Batista
WWE Network

By June of 2002, Steve Austin had walked out on WWE, and The Rock had one foot out the door as his movie career began to take off. They would go through a years-long period struggling to find a new top babyface to carry the company.

In the meanwhile, several stopgap wrestlers would step up to take on the role of de facto top babyface for a brief period. Thus we have Triple H, as a face, taking on the Undertaker for the Undisputed WWE Championship in one of the most boring main events in history.

Seriously, nothing happens in this match. It’s so uneventful, the Rock is brought in to interfere just so JR and King have something to talk about. You’d think with the classics ‘Taker and Triple H had at WrestleMania, they’d be able to grill a sizzling steak here, but this is just a stale fast food burger. Undertaker as a heel is terrible, and Triple H as a face is worse.

If you want a good Undertaker-Triple H match, go watch any of their three WrestleMania encounters, and forget this dreck entirely.
