All 5 Brock Lesnar/Roman Reigns WWE Matches: Ranked From Worst To Best

4. Greatest Royal Rumble

Brock Lesnar Greatest Royal Rumble
WWE

Following closely on the heels of WrestleMania 34 was Brock and Roman’s last encounter at Greatest Royal Rumble.

Despite a clean loss where Reigns was clearly outmatched and bested by the superior Lesnar, the Big Dog was granted a rematch at the Saudi Arabia special event. This time, the two battled inside a steel cage. And just when you thought a match couldn’t end worse than WM 34, we got the ultimate cop-out finish.

Reigns speared Lesnar against the cage, only for the panel to break and both to tumble out to the floor. Brock hit the ground (through the cage) first and was declared the winner, but Roman rolled off Lesnar, with his feet hitting the floor. This gave him the talking point he’s been using for the last three months: Roman is the uncrowned WWE Universal Champion.

The only thing that saved this abomination from being “better” than WM 34 is that it wasn’t the main event of the biggest PPV of the year. Otherwise, this was another bomb.
