An Early Christmas Present For WWE Talent...

Season of goodwill hits Stamford.

WWE looks set to give its wrestlers a full week off around the holiday season this year, reports Fightful Select.

Noting Chief Content Officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque's recent claim that he wants company personnel to enjoy more time at home with their families than they did under WWE's previous regime, the outlet noted that WWE talent are currently set to get a week off over Christmas.

WWE's current schedule features no events between 19 and 25 December, with its Holiday Tour not restarting until 26 December.

This would present interesting challenges from a taping standpoint, as WWE would typically look to air a live SmackDown on Friday, 22 December and live Raw on Christmas Day (a Monday this year). Fightful notes that the Green Bay, Wisconsin show on Friday, 15 December is currently set to be a double taping, presumably to accommodate the following week. There is currently no word on if the 18 December Raw will be similar, though Fightful has asked.

WWE could feasibly air a 'Best Of' style Raw show on the 25 December if it opts against another double-taping, though this is yet to be confirmed.
