Another AEW Departure Confirmed - Zak Knight's Contract Expires (AEW News)
Saraya's brother Zak Knight leaves AEW and becomes free agent after contract expires.

Zak Knight is now a free agent following the expiration of his AEW contract.
PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that Knight has formally left the Tony Khan-helmed promotion after his deal recently elapsed. This has been confirmed by multiple sources.
Knight, 33, is Saraya's brother, and hasn't appeared for AEW since working a dark match at the 5 June 2024 Dynamite tapings. He has since worked a handful of independent dates in Europe, most recently for England's SWW on 26 January.
An April 2024 episode of the now-defunct Rampage hosted Knight's only televised AEW bout, as he defeated Angelo Parker in 7:40. Knight had debuted via backstage segment before this, joining Saraya and Harley Cameron in a rivalry with Parker and Ruby Soho, leading to the Rampage bout.
Beyond this, Knight wrestled for Ring of Honor five times between December 2023 and May 2024, when his appearances dried up. He went 6-0 in his televised AEW/ROH matches.
Zak Knight joins a growing list of AEW releases in 2025. Ricky Starks, Miro, and Aleister were the first and highest-profile names to be let go by the company, departing in February, though each was involved in a public dispute with the promotion. AEW has also released Bear Boulder following domestic abuse allegations, Rey Fenix following another dispute, and Lelya Hirsch, whose contract was allowed to expire.
Current reporting points towards there being further AEW departures in March. Whether these will take the form of wrestlers' deals expiring without renewal or outright releases before expiration dates remains to be seen.
