Asuka Vacates NXT Women's Title - WWE Main Roster Awaits

Inarguably the biggest female star in combat sports in the last decade (and perhaps ever), Ronda Rousey has been heavily rumoured for a handful of WWE appearances since before her UFC career went up in smoke after two devastating defeats.

The latest hubbub suggests a possible Survivor Series clash, with experts and fantasy bookers alike positing a possible meeting of the original 'Four Horsewomen' (Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, and Marina Shafir) against WWE's variant of NXT icons.

Another option could be Stephanie McMahon, following the red hot interaction the two had at WrestleMania 31. The logic checks out - despite a lack of fundamental skills in comparison to the women wrestlers that work for her, McMahon may find the lure of the enormous mainstream attention the match would garner to great to neglect.

However, what about Asuka?

Triple H recently went on record about the 'Empress of Tomorrow's incredible contributions, going as far to say she'd 'changed WWE'. Much the same was rightfully quoted about Rousey during her MMA heyday, especially as she continued to build her one-thought unbeatable streak.

Rousey could believably be programmed as somebody with the array of skills needed to defeat Asuka, whilst the NXT Women's Champion could boast similar confidence on experience alone. A McGregor/Mayweather-esque dream match for WWE, the match could comfortably close any show on name alone, let alone the potential show-stealer the two could craft.
