News that Kevin Owens had signed a new WWE contract broke earlier this week - and the locker-room reaction has been positive across the board.

Per Fightful Select, the response within WWE has been unanimous, with Owens well-liked and respected in the company. He is seen as somebody with a "good moral compass" who genuinely cares for other people. In addition, one of the outlet's sources says that KO was deserving of a bumper contract for "any number of reasons."

Owens will reportedly earn somewhere in the region of $2-3 million per year on his new three-year WWE contract.

The former Universal Champion had been heavily linked to AEW since news of his expiring contract broke in the summer, even going so far as teasing the jump himself. But the AEW locker-room, like WWE's, has been largely positive as well, with almost everybody happy for the 37-year-old.

"Anyone who knows Kevin knows his priorities are with his family first, so you have to be happy for him," said one of Fightful's AEW sources. Owens cited this as one of his reasons for sticking with the market leaders.

Per Fightful, Owens retains a good relationship with many on the AEW roster, some of whom feel that when his next WWE contract expires, Tony Khan's promotion may be on the table.
