Bayley & Sasha Banks Split Up On WWE SmackDown

The Mega-Powers EXPLODE!

Bayley turned on partner Sasha Banks following their match on Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown.

The pair lost their Women's Tag-Team Title rematch to Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax shortly before the turn, and it looked like Bayley was going to console an injured Banks following the defeat. Instead, the SmackDown Women's Champ kicked Sasha in the head and viciously attacked her.

Then, Bayley placed a chair over Banks' head and neck, went to the second turnbuckle and stomped that steel shut. The angle was orchestrated beautifully.

That coveted Bayley vs. Banks match for SmackDown's top female prize is incoming, people. It should be worth the wait.

Emphasis on "wait". The violent nature of Bayley's betrayal suggests Sasha will take some time out before returning for revenge. That's a good thing, because WWE can easily extend this all the way to WrestleMania 37 next year if they play their cards right.

There's no need to put a match this hot on some 'B' level pay-per-view like Clash Of Champions on 27 September. The smarter play would be biding time until these ladies have a bigger stage to work on.
