If the top-tier WWE Network plan is implemented as conceived, subscribers won't just get access to more wrestling content - they'll get access to each other. The company is planning two new initiatives to create more of a social network amongst fans.

The first, classified as a "Fan Perk," is the creation of small group online chats. Though such communities may seem a little anachronistic, hearkening back to the days of AOL chatrooms during the Attitude Era, fan activity on message boards and the like during Raw, Smackdown, and PPV shows that there's a market for discussion - but what will make WWE's version special?

The next, listed under "Deluxe Fan Perks," involves exclusive VIP meet-ups. What those would entail is unclear - gatherings for PPVs aren't really necessary for fans who already have the network, so would these just be "mixers" for wrestling fans? Will WWE superstars show up at these meet-ups?

In an era where fans can connect to each other easier than ever before, WWE needs to put an interesting spin on these perks to make them relevant.
