Big WWE Network Changes: 10 Things You Need To Know

4. NXT Live?

One interesting, largely overlooked note from WWE's survey potentially means a huge change to the taping schedule of NXT. According to the mailer, fans who subscribe to the free package will not get access to NXT's weekly show, but subscribers for the other three tiers will - the $4.99 price point offers access to "pre-recorded" episodes of the show, while at $9.99 and $14.99, they're available "live."

Currently, only NXT TakeOver specials air live. The weekly show is taped several episodes at a time, usually once every three or four weeks. They're then broadcast over the ensuing weeks. Given that NXT airs from the same place and that each show is only an hour, there's no real reason to move to a live schedule - it just adds extra expense and hassle. Still, it seems like the company is considering the change, for whatever reason.

It's possible that this doesn't really mean anything, and that "live" simply indicates that the show will be available in its regular timeslot, but the word itself has a very specific meaning and is given a lot of weight in the wrestling world.
