Kofi Kingston will challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Title at Money In The Bank on 18 July.

WWE confirmed the match on Monday's episode of Raw - fans had been wondering who'd be next in line for a crack at Lashley post-Hell In A Cell. Bobby, with help from MVP, defeated Drew McIntyre in a "Last Chance" HIAC bout on Sunday's pay-per-view.

Kofi is Lashley's next hurdle.

Kingston had briefly been involved in the title picture over the past few weeks. He worked a stunner opposite McIntyre on Raw, but seemed to have been phased back out of the mix. It turns out that match, as well as recent backstage promos with MVP, were a sign of things to come.

Some on social media are already predicting a title change at MITB. WWE will have fans in attendance (the ThunderDome era is coming to an end), and they might want to book something huge that gets people talking.

Putting the belt back on Kingston, and ushering in the second era of 'KofiMania' may be one way to do that. If not, then at least fans know Kofi will pull a great match out of Lashley.
