Braun Strowman has returned to WWE.

The 'Monster Among Men' made his first appearance since being written off TV last November during the clothing stretch of Friday's episode. It's worth noting that Braun is technically a Raw star after being traded to the brand during WWE's 2020 Draft late last year.

That didn't seem to matter here. Strowman showed up after a big 10-man tag main event (Big E, Daniel Bryan, Otis, Sheamus and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles, Cesaro, Sami Zayn, The Miz and John Morrison) and helped the babyfaces fend off the heels.

Again, that's interesting, because Braun had been flirting with a tweener role (and erring towards the heel-ish side) before WWE ran that "indefinite suspension" angle with Adam Pearce. Now, it appears that Strowman is 100% face and possibly also returning on SmackDown rather than Raw.

Either that, or this was one of those "brand-to-brand invitational" moments that WWE loves occasionally.

Braun has also been announced as an entrant in Sunday's Royal Rumble match. He joins a list of 20 other men who have been revealed for the bout thus far; add Strowman onto that and WWE still has nine other slots available.
