Just a week after Brock Lesnar scored a huge win over Mark Hunt at UFC 200, news broke that "The Beast" had failed a pair of drug tests prior to the fight. Now, the Nevada Athletic Commission has taken its first official action, issuing Lesnar a "temporary suspension."

The length of the temporary suspension hasn't been announced, but it's believed that it will carry over to an official hearing with the Commission. If Lesnar can't prove his innocence, he will potentially be subjected to a two-year suspension under the guidelines of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, as well as monetary fines.

Lesnar, who retired from MMA after a loss to Alistair Overeem in December of 2011 and soon returned to WWE, made a shocking return to the sport in order to give the UFC 200 card some major drawing power. "The Beast," who had an allowance in his WWE contract for a single UFC fight, was considered the underdog going in against Hunt, but was dominant in the fight and scored a unanimous decision.

In the weeks following the bout, though, it was revealed that Lesnar twice tested positive for estrogen blocker hydroxy-clomiphene, a banned substance often used by athletes cycling off of anabolic steroids. The first test came on June 28, while the second was on July 9, the day of the fight.

As per a provision in his WWE contract, Lesnar was not subject to punishment under the company's Wellness Policy.
