Brock Lesnar’s 33 WWE PPV Matches Ranked From Worst To Best

19. Vs. Triple H - SummerSlam 2012

Better than their WrestleMania match, but still not quite at the level either man was capable of, the first match in the Triple H versus Brock Lesnar series went down in the main event of SummerSlam 2012. Hard-hitting with good selling and great psychology, it was a worth show-closer. Lesnar continually went for the Kimura submission hold, trying to snap The Game's arm while Triple H opted to work on Lesnar's stomach, which was a novel approach. The announcers did their best to explain the significance of this strategy and talked about Lesnar's issues with diverticulitis. Regrettably, the crowd were pretty quiet (as they were for 'Mania) which hurt it a little. Still, you cannot take anything away from the work, or Lesnar's performance. Post-match, Triple H broke down crying as the crowd chanted 'You tapped out'. The Cerebral Assassin left the arena, cut his air and went back to his office job, but he hadn't forgotten about slaying the dragon that is Lesnar.
