Brock Lesnar’s 33 WWE PPV Matches Ranked From Worst To Best

16. w/Paul Heyman Vs. Edge - Rebellion 2002

Lesnar was originally supposed to face The Undertaker in the main event of Rebellion 2002 but The Dead Man had an injury (although Stephanie McMahon told the live audience that his wife was giving birth) and couldn't make the trip. Up-and-coming Edge was called in as a replacement. This was a big test for the Canadian, who was having a great year in the squared cirlce. He'd performed well in feuds with Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero but Brock Lesnar was an entirely different beast and this was in the main event. Edge stepped up on the night and had a cracking handicap match against Lesnar and Heyman. This was a fantastic twenty-minute main match that proved that Edge could hang in a main event scenario but also that Lesnar was catching on and developing into quite the worker.
