5. Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena (2014)
This match would likely be higher on the list were it not, effectively, a complete squash. John Cena did have offensive outbursts from time to time, but the main event of SummerSlam 2014 was mainly one-sided. Few fans can claim they saw this kind of match coming, but it was booked to make Brock Lesnar look utterly dominant. In a previous bout between the pair at Extreme Rules in 2012, both had looked like equals. At SummerSlam just over 2 years later, that all changed. Nailing Cena with German Suplex after German Suplex, Brock reigned supreme, and that was just how WWE wanted it to appear. Cena was being prepared for life outside of the main event scene for a while, so this acted as a watershed moment. 2014 was quite the year for Lesnar. Not only was he penned to end The Undertaker's winning streak at WrestleMania, he also captured the WWE World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam from John Cena. One of the absolute best aspects of Lesnar since he returned in 2012 has been his intensity. He really does come across as dangerous, and that resonated during this particular clash.
