Bryan Danielson "Announced" For Qatari Wrestling Show With History Of Lying

Jon Moxley previously denied being booked for QPW, who advertised him for the same show.

Qatar Pro Wrestling has announced AEW wrestler Bryan Danielson for their upcoming SuperSlam III show, though the news should be taken not so much with a pinch of salt, but a binful of the stuff.

QPW owner Ali Al-Marafi told Lucha Libre Online of Danielson's involvement over the weekend. Per the writeup, Bryan will sign a contract to appear on SuperSlam III (set for Doha on 18 and 19 March) later in the week, though QPW has already reached an agreement with AEW.

A host of other big-name wrestlers including Jon Moxley, Bret Hart, Adam Scherr, and Will Ospreay have also been "confirmed" for the event. Moxley, however, is the reason fans should be suspicious of the Danielson announcement.

Dave Meltzer wrote in the 9 August 2021 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Moxley had never spoken to anybody about appearing on the show and wasn't planning to travel to the Middle East in the near future. This is despite him being billed for the event.

Danielson is yet to comment on the matter.

QPW's last show, SuperSlam 2, took place on 21 February 2020, featuring such names as Alberto Del Rio, Rob Van Dam, and Carlito.
