Card Subject To Change: Repackaging WWE Survivor Series 1989
2. The Vipers Versus The Million $ Team
Jake 'The Snake' Roberts (captain), Power and Glory and 'Superfly' Jimmy Snuka versus 'Million $ Man' Ted DiBiase (captain), The Powers of Pain and André The Giant (with Virgil, Mr. Fuji and Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan).
With exception to the far more experienced André The Giant replacing unseasoned Zeus, Ted DiBiase's assemblage from the original 1989 card remains largely unchanged. Jake 'The Snake' commands his own team again as opposed to competing for spotlight on Hogan's team. Balancing his long-standing feud with André and current feud with the 'Million Dollar Man', Roberts brings Jimmy Snuka aboard, who feuded with DiBiase first upon his return from hiatus.
After Mr. Fuji's bid to recruit Hercules fails, The Powers of Pain join DiBiase and André. More than willing to resume hostilities with Millionaire Ted, Hercules once again pairs with Jake and Snuka, capitalizes on the amicable split of The Young Stallions and launches an experimental tag team with Paul Roma.
A Superfly Splash makes The Warlord the first combat casualty and Jake Roberts surprises The Barbarian with a DDT minutes later. After blind tagging DiBiase during a Power-Plex, André flattens Hercules with a big splash and tags DiBiase back in to put Roma to sleep in the Million $ Dream. When a mortified Giant flees backstage with Jake and Damien in hot pursuit, Virgil foils an attempted Superfly Splash, buying DiBiase time to dodge the diving Fijian. Snuka crashes to the canvas and The 'Million Dollar Man' cashes in the victory.
