1. The Ultimate Warriors Versus The Rude Brood

The Ultimate Warrior (captain), Demolition and 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper versus 'Ravishing' Rick Rude (captain), The Twin Towers and The Canadian Earthquake (with Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan, Slick and Jimmy Hart).

Now THIS is a Survivor Series main event.

In the original draft of this pay-per-view, The Ultimate Warrior captained a team consisting of Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart and The Rockers against the slate of André The Giant and Haku (later, 'The Colossal Connection') and The Brain Busters. The ongoing Warrior-André and Rockers-Brain Busters feuds made these teams a natural fit. However, the bizarre splitting of The Hart Foundation, adding 'The Anvil' to the team and Heenan substituting for Blanchard made the match a little disjointed.

Instead, Warrior crusades with fellow face-painters Demolition and 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper to form the most volatile, yet wildly popular Survivor Series team in history. Meanwhile, 'Ravishing' Rick Rude, who's in the midst of a pull-apart rivalry with Piper, recruits the Twin Towers against Demolition following their SummerSlam clash and the massive Canadian Earthquake, who debuted at the expense the Warrior less than two weeks prior.

Rude and Piper immediately launch into a donnybrook that disqualifies both men. After Smash rescues Ax from a Boss Man Slam, a Demolition Decapitation drops the curtain on the crooked cop. Akeem crushes Ax with Air Africa while an Earthquake Splash claims Smash, leaving Warrior by his lonesome. A blizzard of flying tackles, thunderous gorilla presses and diving splashes later however, the captain is the last Warrior standing.

Sole Survivor: The Ultimate Warrior
