Chris Jericho Files Trademark For New AEW Stable

Le Champion moves to file for two further trademarks.

Chris Jericho Appreciation Society

For those thinking that Chris Jericho's new AEW faction couldn't possibly really be called the Jericho Appreciation Society, it looks like that is indeed to be the name of Le Champion's latest stable.

Jericho filed to trademark both "Jericho Appreciation Society" and "JAS" with the United Sates Patent & Trademark Office on 10 March. Those trademarks have been filed for, amongst other things, purposes of "entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests" and merchandise in the form of "hats, shirts, socks, sweatshirts, bandanas, hooded sweatshirts".

Last week's AEW Dynamite saw Jericho destroy the Inner Circle as he joined forces with 2point0 and Daniel Garcia to lay waste to Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz. Inner Circle member Jake Hager would also join the Influencer in this attack, siding with Jericho and becoming part of this new faction.

Once the dust had settled on this beatdown, the inaugural AEW World Champion took a microphone and proclaimed the group to be the Jericho Appreciation Society.

These latest trademark requests follow similar recent filings from Jericho for "Sports Entertainer", "The Influencer" and of course the awful "GFY" catchphrase that seems to be hanging around.
