CM Punk was a hell of a commentator during his brief run with the headset in WWE. If he doesn't want to get back in the ring with another promotion, he could instead choose to do commentary. Particularly in the case of going back to Ring Of Honor, he might not fancy the hard grinding wrestling, but to get to call the matches could be a lot of fun for him. ROH would be up for this arrangement too, even as commentator, Punk's name is going to draw attention and viewers to the Ring Of Honor brand. Punk could even return to WWE in the commentary role, Jerry Lawler is 64 and suffered a heart attack two years ago, Punk could be a prime candidate to replace the ageing Raw colour commentator. If the biggest issue Punk has had is burn-out related to physicality, then the announce desk is the perfect way for him to continue to be a factor on WWE television. Just take a look at John Bradshaw Layfield's success on commentary, he was too beat up for the ring, but is already being called one of the best Raw commentators ever in his new role as colour man.
