CM Punk's Role On This Week's AEW Collision Revealed
CM Punk was conspicuous by his absence in AEW's Collision announcements, BUT...

CM Punk's name was a notable omission from announcer Excalibur's signature rapid-fire Collision announcements on this week's episode of AEW Dynamite, though the promotion has since confirmed what the Saturday night centrepiece will be doing on tomorrow's show.
AEW founder and CEO Tony Khan announced on Twitter that Punk will provide commentary as Roderick Strong faces Samoa Joe in the Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament. The victor of this quarter-final is to face Punk in the next round.

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 saw Punk advance through the Owen by defeating Japanese legend Satoshi Kojima.
Joe vs. Punk is, of course, a historic rivalry, which would suggest the ROH Television Champion should be considered the favourite to beat Strong on Collision. Nestled amongst Joe and Punk's checkered in-ring history is a legendary trio of matches for Ring Of Honor, the last of which took place at All Star Extravaganza II on 4 December 2004.
On Collision's first episode (16 June), Punk and Joe shared a ring for the first time in close to 18 years, as Punk teamed with FTR to defeat Joe, Jay White, and Juice Robinson.
