Cody Rhodes scooped the ESPY Award for Best WWE Moment at Wednesday's ceremony.

2022's comeback king landed it for his WWE return against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38. Also in contention were The Undertaker's Hall of Fame induction, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin unleashing a torrent of Stunners on Vince McMahon and co. at 'Mania, and Big E's successful Money in the Bank cash-in last September.

Rhodes, who is currently sidelined through injury, presented the Golden State Warriors' Klay Thompson with the ESPY for Best Comeback Athlete on the night.

WrestleMania 38 was the 37-year-old's first WWE appearance since 2016, when he asked for and was granted his release. It was made more sensational for coming just two months after leaving AEW, where he had served as an Executive Vice President and an architect of the market conditions allowing WWE's closest competition to exist in the first place, though he'd been working without a contract since December.

Out of action since June, Rhodes will likely star in another memorable WWE return after his wounds are healed and he is ready to get back into the ring once more.
