Cody Rhodes: 'The Rock Won't Meddle With WWE Booking'

Will The Rock scoop WWE full-timer Cody Rhodes' spot at WrestleMania from underneath him?

Cody Rhodes has gone on record to say he doesn't think The Rock would "come in and meddle with a story that’s been told over the past two years". Interestingly, Rhodes then added that he "thinks [Rock] is probably up to something else" anyway.

WWE recently announced that Dwayne Johnson had joined the TKO Group Holdings board of directors. Thus, 'The Great One' is now a company executive, so he definitely has some pulling power behind the scenes. That was always the case due to his immense star power, in truth, but it's tenfold now he's literally management.

Cody told Bleacher Report he isn't too concerned by that, because he has a positive relationship with The Rock and knows the strength of his own "Finish The Story" narrative. There's also been a lot of talk amongst fans and industry critics that Rocky might replace Rhodes in a match vs. Roman Reigns come WrestleMania XL.

Apparently, Rhodes doesn't really see anything like that happening. He believes Rock would prefer to let full-time storylines play out before getting involved. Previously, Rocky did tease a match with Roman on TV, but WWE hasn't followed up on that...yet.
