In some great news for AEW, Kyle Fletcher is tied down to Tony Khan's promotion for a long time.

Per Fightful Select, the current AEW TNT Champion recently signed a new long-term deal with the company, with Khan viewing Fletcher as a "big part" of AEW's future. This report adds that the deal was quietly agreed on earlier this spring, with it described as a "big money" deal in regards to Fletcher's age, and he's expected to become a major player for AEW.

Having become a true company standout, this new contract is a testament to the work Kyle Fletcher has put in over the past few years. The 26-year-old has long been good, but in terms of in-ring work, personality, and physique, it's night and day when looking at the Kyle of today compared to the Kyle who debuted in AEW back in 2022 as part of United Empire.

Fletcher and his Aussie Open partner Mark Davis would officially sign with AEW in 2023, though a wrist injury to Davis at WrestleDream that October meant that the tag team was put on ice. To his credit, Kyle seized the opportunity of more singles action, becoming a member of the Don Callis Family just a few weeks later. That alliance with Callis not only introduced the world to the Protostar persona, but it soon saw Fletcher win his first slice of singles gold, becoming the ROH TV Champion by winning a six-person elimination match at Survival of the Fittest 2023. More notably, Kyle then embarked on a heated rivalry with his former buddy Will Ospreay throughout the end of 2024 and into this year.

Of course, more recently, Kyle Fletcher defeated Dustin Rhodes for the TNT Title in a brutal, bloody Chicago Street Fight on the 31 July edition of AEW Collision.
