Daniel Bryan Teases Wrestling Match With Bullet Club
SmackDown's GM hints at future plans during Twitter Q&A session.
WWE's stance on the issue has never wavered, but the subject of Daniel Bryan potentially wrestling again refuses to disappear.
The SmackDown General Manager has teased returning to the ring following the expiration of his WWE contract several times since his 2016 retirement. Bryan has previously challenged current Ring Of Honor Champion Cody Rhodes to a match when his deal expires in September 2018, but it seems his sights are now set on NJPW's most popular stable:-
Daniel was responding to a tweet asking who he'd most like to face upon returning to the ring, which now seems inevitable. When asked how badly he wanted to mount a comeback, Bryan responded with the following:-
This has become a hot-button topic over the past year. It's unlikely that WWE doctors will ever clear Bryan to compete for the company again, but Daniel's wife, Brie Bella, caused a stir last month by telling him that "if WWE doesn't allow it, go somewhere else."
Bullet Club are one of wrestling's most powerful brands in 2017, so it's no surprise Daniel wants to lock horns with Rhodes, The Young Bucks, and co. Does his future lie in NJPW? We'll find out next summer.
