While the biggest story coming out of WWE Royal Rumble 2025 is the shock Rumble win of Jey Uso, there's now a developing story concerning Drew McIntyre.

At the Rumble, McIntyre was in the eponymous men's match for 27 minutes, entering at #17, scoring zero eliminations, before then being eliminated by Damian Priest. According to a PWInsider report, though, the Scottish Warrior was not in good spirits when he got backstage.

This report notes how Drew was "screaming and cursing" that "someone had to get their moves in" at the expense of certain other stories that were meant to be told during the match. Not just that, but McIntyre then stormed out of Lucas Oil Stadium "well before" the men's Royal Rumble wrapped up.

As of this writing, there are no further details on who or what Drew McIntyre was frustrated by, but it clearly sounds like the three-time WWE World Champion was not happy when he got to the backstage area following his Rumble participation.

Expect more on this story as and when we get it.

The Story Of The 2025 Men's Royal Rumble

As mentioned, this year's men's Royal Rumble had a shocking winner, with Jey Uso last eliminating John Cena to claim the W. Post-match comments from Jey teased potential WWE WrestleMania 41 matches with either of World Heavyweight Champion Gunther or Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, although the Yeet Man did seem to be leaning more towards facing the Ring General - a man who WWE has been very clear to make it known has had Jey's number in their previous meetings.

While CM Punk was a lot of people's favourite for the men's Rumble, the Second City Saint was dumped out by Logan Paul mere seconds after Punk had tossed out both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. With all three elimination men on the outside together, a war of words between Punker and Roman was broken up by a Rollins' Curb Stomp to Reigns. That was followed by Punk and Seth going at it, with another Curb Stomp for the OTC thrown in for good measure. As fans eagerly look ahead to WrestleMania 41, could a triple-threat match be in the works between this threesome? It certainly looks like it...

One other major story heading out of the Royal Rumble is John Cena coming up short in his quest to cement himself a WrestleMania main event and a chance to win a record-setting 17th World Title. However, Big Match John used the post-PLE media scrum to talk up his intention to earn that 'Mania title shot by winning the Elimination Chamber - this year's Chamber event emanating from Toronto's Rogers Center on Saturday 1 March.
