After another busy month promoting two separate shows, NXT had only itself to focus on this week and made use of the two hours to load up TakeOver: Portland and crown The Broserweights as winners of this year's unexpectedly excellent Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle's win main evented the post-Worlds Collide episode, alongside several matches and segments that determined challengers for all three men's titles on the show.

Tommaso Ciampa's assault on Roderick Strong, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish resulted in a one-on-one showdown with Undisputed Era leader Adam Cole and the contract for Portland being signed with the blood that drained from Ciampa's head.

Elsewhere, Keith Lee offered a North American Championship shot to the winner of an impromptu match between Damian Priest and Dominik Dijakovic. Longstanding Lee rival Dijakovic was successful to presumably set up an overdue rubber match between the pair after their televised epics in 2019.

Assuming that's added soon, the confirmed TakeOver: Portland card in full now looks as follows:
