Eric Angle, Brother Of WWE Star Kurt Angle, Indicted For Selling Drugs
Investigators say he was selling steroids on dark web.
The brother of WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, Eric Angle, has been indicted for selling drugs.
According to CBS Pittsburgh, Angle was one of three men investigators discovered were distributing anabolic steroids across the dark web. The men, said to part of the 'qu4ntum' drug trafficking group, are alleged to have used fake names to deliver the drugs via UPS.
Angle and associates paid for the contraband with cash-in-hand and cryptocurrency, having imported it largely from China.
This past July, an outstanding assault charge against Angle was dropped. He was booked after a video showed the junior wrestling coach hoist a student by the throat and slam him to the mat.
He will now face new charges for this latest scandal, including conspiracy to distribute and import controlled substances.
Back in 2000, Eric appeared alongside Kurt, as he helped his brother retain the WWE Championship against The Undertaker at Survivor Series. He was given a developmental role after his cameo, but was released from his deal in 2003.
He hung up the singlet in the same year.
Angle's family has endured a torrid time in the past decade. Back in September 2015, David Angle was arrested and charged with the homicide of his wife Donna. He was sentenced to two and a half to ten years in prison after pleading voluntary manslaughter.
