Tonight, WWE's flagship show Monday Night Raw is broadcasting live from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. On the card is Edge, the man in the midst of the most sensational main-roster return in a generation, The Undertaker, the company's last major attraction getting ready to salvage his legacy against AJ Styles, and Stone Cold Steve Austin, one of the biggest stars in their history.

All of this is going to take place in front of rows upon rows of empty chairs. One of the biggest, most anticipated, most high-profile episodes of the year, and every single twist and turn is going to play out to almost total silence.

Now, yes, we saw the same thing on SmackDown last week. But watching Bray Wyatt cut a promo, or a 205 Live vs. NXT mixed tag is one thing. Watching three of the biggest stars in WWE's entire history is quite another.

With the full scale of the crisis becoming apparent, tonight's show may well be the moment the stark changes become visually apparent to the country. What should have been a landmark event in WWE's calendar will, tonight, look almost sinister in its emptiness.
