Every Major WWE Black Wednesday Release Ranked From Least To Most Successful
1. Deonna Purrazzo
The story of Deonna Purrazzo post-WWE is a genuine success story.
Coming into IMPACT Wrestling before the full crop landed, Deonna got a head start because she didn't have a no-compete clause like everyone else did.
Purrazzo immediately entering a title picture with Jordynne Grace that saw 'The Virtuosa' lift the Knockouts Championship from Grace at Slammiversary, a bout that was classed as one of the night's greatest matches, although they lost out to the main event in the Match of the Year category at the end of 2020.
Deonna did, however, pick up both the Wrestler and Knockout of the Year awards as part of IMPACT's year-end awards. Combine that with the fact she's deep into her second reign as the Knockouts Champion, and you can see how much faith IMPACT has in Deonna.
This is a talent who was severely underutilised for a few years in WWE. Only being used as an enhancement talent in NXT, alongside a couple of Raw appearances vs. Nia Jax and Asuka, isn't what Purrazzo was trained for.
She was made for IMPACT Wrestling; her series of matches vs. Jordynne Grace, Taya Valkyrie, and Jazz proves this. The knockouts division is in safe hands with her going forward.
