Every Version Of WWE's Demon Finn Bálor: Ranked From Worst To Best

9. TakeOver: The End

For NXT’s first-ever cage match and first TakeOver back at Florida’s Full Sail University in over a year, Bálor pared the Demon back down to basics. Gone was the elaborate back piece in tribute to the host city. There were also no added entrance flairs outside of the usual tassels and dreadlocks under the smoke and lights. Gone were the unique and outlandish additions of chainsaws, top hats, and custom coats.

Instead, Finn reinvented the Demon by stripping his attire and body paint down to a simple black and white two-tone scheme. It was a relatively basic design for the often elaborate alter ego. It was simple and striking in its own way, but unfortunately outside of the duotone colors was a bit forgettable. There wasn't even a long and wild tongue hanging from the open mouth on Finn's chest.

It was a welcome change for some fans who had thought the Demon's elaborations had become too much. Still, others missed the wild exaggerations of Finn's inner possession. Regardless, the night ended in disappointment for the reigning Demon King as his NXT title was stolen away by Samoa Joe.
