Every WCW Heavyweight Champion: Where Are They Now?

4. Scott Steiner

The Steiner Brothers were one of the greatest tag teams of their era, hell, even one of the best of all time, finding success for the better part of a decade in nearly every major promotion they appeared in. Their long history together and the fact they were brothers made it even more memorable when Scott finally turned on Rick in WCW, joining the NWO and going on to become a genuine singles main event player in the promotion.

Big Poppa Pump got his hands on the Big Gold Belt at Mayhem 2000 for the first and only time, forcing Booker T to pass out in their Straitjacket Steel Cage match. It was completely enclosed, so it was really a Hell In A Cell with a straitjacket hanging from the roof... which you didn't actually need to win the match anyway.

Although he only got in one reign, at 120 days it was the longest of the last 38 reigns in the title's history across the final four years of the promotion. Since then, he had an ill-fated second run with WWE, jumped around the independents for a bit while also dropping one of the all-time hilarious promos in TNA during his first of three runs there.

At the age of 57, Steiner is still going strong today, appearing for both Impact and the NWA in 2020 and challenging for championship gold in the latter. Steiner collapsed backstage at an Impact taping in March, but has thankfully made a full recovery from heart surgery.
