Every Wrestler At AEW Double Or Nothing 2019 - Where Are They Now?
9. Team Kong
Kenny Omega's dream of hosting a joshi match on a major American wrestling show came true when he invited six of Japan's best over for Double or Nothing I.
This six-woman tag pitted the younger generation against the old, as one team consisted of two storied veterans - Emi Sakura and Aja Kong.
Kong has been on the wrestling scene for decades, even cropping up in the WWF during the mid-nineties, where she feuded with Alundra Blayze. After her appearance at Double or Nothing, a match was teased between her and her namesake - Awesome Kong - which would have been great, but sadly never happened.
Emi Sakura has probably had the most exposure of anyone on this team since Double or Nothing. She was chosen to challenge Riho for the AEW Women's Championship at Full Gear, a match that could have had a really interesting "Mentor vs. Student" story had the company not rushed its booking. She was unsuccessful.
As for the youngest member of this team, Yuka Sakazaki, she is perhaps most famous for being the first person Dr. Britt Baker performed her now-signature teeth break spot on.
Both Sakura and Sakazaki are still with AEW, but Kong has seemingly returned to Japan.
