At time of writing, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Karrion Kross and Scarlett. Will they stay put in WWE after all? Will they end up in AEW? Or, will Karrion turn back into Killer Kross for a second stab at TNA life? If nothing else, there are better options outside WWE for Kross than the last time he was part of the Impact roster.

You might've forgotten how that ended.

In June 2019, Kross literally had parts of his face bitten off by a rampaging, hyper-violent Eddie Edwards. This was part of a storyline which saw Killer force Eddie to go too far. Those who enjoyed Karrion's feud with Sami Zayn on WWE TV recently will get the gist (sans face biting). Kross was maniacally coaxing Edwards into showing his most evil side.

It worked, and it led to Killer having his nose eaten by a rage-filled Eddie doing his best Meng impression as onlookers screamed in horror at the violence. If you don't know that story, then here it is: Legend has it that Haku/Meng bit somebody's nose off in a bar during a fight. Not one to mess with then!

TNA alleged that Eddie's assault was so impactful (ahem) that Kross immediately shuffled off this mortal coil. In other words, Eddie Edwards was a murderer; a murderer who was never punished for his crimes. Meanwhile, Killer was renamed Karrion and made a splash in NXT before being horrendously exposed to the worst of latter-day Vince McMahon erm...creativity in 2021.

He'd make a WWE comeback in 2022 before leaving again in 2025.
