Even more on Karrion Kross and Scarlett's WWE status.

With Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux's WWE contracts having expired, there's now a little more on all of this.

For those who may have missed it, Kross and Scarlett's WWE deals were up at midnight last night, meaning they are purportedly free agents now and feasibly able to turn up in any other wrestling promotion as of today. Fightful Select reports that the situation appears to be legitimate, though there is still a chance that this could all be part of a wider storyline.

On that front, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted how "everyone was going with the idea" that Kross was saying with WWE. Meltzer suggested that it makes a lot of sense for WWE to somewhat mirror the R-Truth situation, though he couldn't confirm that this was indeed the plan.

For his part, the second part of Kross' The Killer documentary - released yesterday - has the former NXT Champion discussing how "profoundly disappointed" he was with WWE contract negotiations. As Kross explained, he'd reached out to WWE in January to say he and Scarlett were open to discussing a new deal, but further talks didn't happen until "recently" and weren't of any "real substance".

In The Killer Part 2, Kross also said how certain people within WWE told him not to acknowledge the ever-growing fan support he'd been receiving in the past several months, while Karrion himself said how you can't ignore what the fans want.

Again, there is still plenty of uncertainty surrounding the status of Kross and Scarlett. While it appears that they have indeed left WWE, there is still a chance that the pair may have quietly signed new deals at some point, with this instead being a case of WWE and the talents leaning into all of the recent reports and rumblings over the duo's contract situation.
