This fatal four way tag match suffered from a lot of the issues that multi person tag matches in the modern era have, as the lack of tag psychology and the amount of bodies leads to spots at an exhausting pace. It will never not be infuriating that WWE doesn't incorporate the style of multi team tag wrestling that they did at Survivor Series 2019 more often.

Regardless over gripes towards the format, all eight men put in the work to make the best match of the 2017 Clash of Champions. Gable and Benjamin particularly stood out here, proving why they were one of the most essential and underrated tag teams of the modern era.

The Usos and The New Day got to reignite their scintillating feud of the year with exchanges in this contest, and the duo of Rusev and Aiden English got to express just how over they were in a ring full of other skilled professionals.

This match is exhausting and exhilarating in equal measure, and is one of the better matches of its kind. It’s not for everyone but all four teams proved why SmackDown’s tag division was something to be proud of in 2017.
