Every WWE Clash Of Champions Match Ranked From Worst To Best
8. Rowan Vs. Roman Reigns (2019)
This match is the perfect example of a slower paced brawl in the modern era. Roman Reigns did a lot of work for Rowan's single push here, constructing a brutal hoss fight that was underrated from the second it ended.
Despite the Roman Reigns mystery angle of 2019 not paying off and Rowan's subsequent run in the company involving a giant spider and being released, this match is a whole lot of fun.
The two men battered each other, as Rowan got to show the extent of his moveset and dominated with his unstoppable aura. He felt like a giant, towering over Reigns and flinging the heavyweight around like a ragdoll. Their extensive chemistry together from tag team wrestling meant that there was a welcome familiarity in their exchanges.
Roman was clearly motivated by this contest and delivered a confident babyface performance, showcasing his impeccable selling and natural charisma as he fought back against this monster. The match was fantastic, made both men look better than they did before, and had a wonderful return at the end from Luke Harper.
While it wouldn’t lead to much more brilliance, it holds up in isolation.
