Every WWE Clash Of Champions Match Ranked From Worst To Best
20. The Bludgeon Brothers Vs. Breezango (2017)
A squash match designed to elevate the team of the Bludgeon Brothers, this quick tag contest did its job by making the new rebrand of Harper and Rowan seem dangerous. The two men were handed a silly gimmick but were one of the best duos in wrestling for several years, and seemed primed to make an immediate impact on the SmackDown tag division before injuries sabotaged their run.
Unfortunately, their opponents were the tag team of Fandango and Tyler Breeze, who had done incredible work on SmackDown throughout 2017. Instead of their hard work being rewarded by a push, the two men were buried and never recovered on the main roster.
While Breezango eventually recovered and are now the current NXT tag team champions, it’s a shame to think of what could have been if the Fashion Police were capitalised on and were allowed to show their brilliance regularly on SmackDown.
Even with their success now, the initial charm that made them so beloved is gone and the final death blow was this squash. It did something for Bludgeon Brothers that didn’t matter in the long term, and did something for Breezango that took three years to fix.
