15. The New Day Vs. The Club (2016)

WWE Clash of Champions 2019 Erick Rowan Roman Reigns

A perfectly adequate tag team championship match to kick off the inaugural Clash of Champions event, both teams showed off their expertise as duos in this quick contest. The New Day in particular showcased their unique dynamic as a trio as they continued their record breaking title reign, with Kofi and Big E showing off their chemistry through quick tags and elaborate multi man sequences.

Gallows and Anderson offered a solid performance, with Anderson impressing in lock ups with Kingston and Luke Gallows performing the big man role adequately. The crowd were mostly behind the New Day to continue their reign here, but Gallows and Anderson certainly got a reaction from the audience.

The finish is very enjoyable, with increasingly quick action transitioning into Xavier Woods using his trombone as a cheap shot to help lead to another successful New Day title defence. It was a good way to open the debut event and get the crowd in the right mindset going forward. There's not much here for the match to stand out in hindsight but it's very enjoyable as it goes on.
