This was a surprisingly decent triple threat match with three divisive modern wrestlers, with the men working the trademark WWE triple threat format in a captivating way. The unpredictability of the result meant that fans were invested in their near falls, and it was a solid opener to get fans in the right mood for the rest of the show.

Corbin was the surprising standout, as he worked with particular urgency in late 2017 after failing his Money in the Bank cash in. His movement was quick, his offence brutal and he fit into the structure seamlessly. Roode adopted a faster pace than usual due to the stipulation, but didn’t do much to impress on the PPV stage beyond a few exchanges with Corbin. Ziggler clearly wasn’t working at 100% effort but he’s always been good in multi mans, able to take some major bumps and make the final stretches of a match more investing.

A surprising winner and an enjoyable finishing sequence make this a good time to rewatch, even if it's far from great. It’s not essential but there’s far worse and it surpassed expectations considerably.
