Every WWE Release Of 2021 - Where Are They Now? (Five Years Later)

50. Curt Stallion

Then: Curt Stallion has also been known as Stallion Rodgers, so he has 2 of the greatest ring names known to man on his resume. Good to know. Like August Grey, Curt didn't get a whole heck of a lot of attention whilst under WWE's roof. In fact, he was only with the organisation between October 2020 and his June 2021 release.

In that time, he wrestled 17 matches, and most of them took place on 205 Live. Oh yes, that old chestnut again. His biggest match by a mile was a Cruiserweight Title loss to then-champ Santos Escobar on the 3 February 2021 NXT.

Other foes from around the same time? Mansoor of Maximum Male Models fame and Ariya Daivari.

Now: Stallion had made a name for himself in Evolve before joining WWE, but he didn't return there after being scrapped by the biggest company in the land. Instead, Curt tried on some newer independent groups and also worked a couple of shots for Tony Khan's AEW. You might be sensing a pattern - Khan is willing to give anyone a try, and that was especially true when he had Dark to play around with.

Less so nowadays, to be fair to him. Curt Stallion wasn't really hired on the strength of his WWE run anyway. He was given a tryout just to see if there was anything more he could do as #AllElite. Not much more, as it transpired.

Stallion did bag a regular spot in Pro Wrestling NOAH over in Japan between 2022-2023 too.
