Every WWE Release Of 2021 - Where Are They Now? (Five Years Later)

51. Bollywood Boyz

The Bollywood Boyz Singh Brothers
WWE

Then: Most WWE viewers remember these Bollywood Boyz as Sunil and Samir Singh. They were backup for Jinder Mahal, and became walking memes for being dumped on the announce desk in super stiff fashion by a knowing Randy Orton. His reaction to the bumps Sunil and Samir took was priceless.

The Boyz worked on 205 Live after splitting from Jinder, but they'd never rise above comedy level. Case in point: Their work as part of the 24/7 Title division. WWE scraped the bottom of the barrel for some of the content tied to that belt, but it was something for the pair to do.

They'd be sent packing in June 2021.

Now: Bollywood went international by working everywhere from AEW and ROH to GCW and DEFY. The tag-team haven't found bookings difficult to come by since departing WWE, which is honestly a credit to how useful they are on shows.

Need a comedy match? They can do it. Want something more in line with NXT tag bouts of old? They've got it covered. Just need a few warm bodies for some big monster to bump around? Give The Boyz a call on the ol' blower and make it happen.

They're versatile, in other words.

Bollywood Boyz have faced The Gunn Club, The Acclaimed members of the old Jericho Appreciation Society, The Kingdom and more during spots in AEW/ROH. There was also the not so small matter of Boyz vs. Boys when they clashed with Brandon and Brent on the 16 November 2023 edition of ROH on HonorClub.

History was made, as Gorilla Monsoon might say.
