Every WWE Royal Rumble 'Final Four' - From Worst To Best

9. 2008 - Kane, Batista, Triple H & John Cena

On paper, this final four sounds like room-temperature nothing: four established stars who don't really need the Rumble rub, two of whom had already won it. In practice, though, it wound up being red hot, thanks to John Cena€™s surprise return as the #30 entrant. John Boy had suffered a pectoral tear in October that should have kept him out of the ring for close to a year, but he legitimately shocked the world with his Hugh Jackman healing powers and was hailed as a conquering hero by Madison Square Garden, of all cynical places. Cena€™s elimination of Triple H recalled their earlier WrestleMania clash and foreshadowed the upcoming triple threat with Randy Orton. Cena would ultimately fail in his bid to dethrone Orton, but his shocking return here makes this final four one of the most memorable of all time, as well as probably the most over John's been since WrestleMania 21.
