Every WWE Smackdown Intro Ranked – From Worst To Best

6. Early 2003

It’s strange to think that Marilyn Manson’s “The Beautiful People” was once the theme song for Raw. After a brief experiment in 1997, luckily the flagship brand would ditch the track, allowing SmackDown to pick up the pieces and put together one of the best intro packages in WWE history.

Here, it was reordered in such a way that we got all of the song’s best bits in a mere 30-second clip - those eerie noises at the very start, the churning guitar with Manson’s creepy whispers, and of course the balls-to-the-wall screaming of an absolutely huge chorus. It almost felt like this was purpose-built to hype a wrestling show.

And the accompanying video complemented it perfectly, with backstage shots of the wrestlers during the bridge, before bombarding the screen with in-ring action once that chorus was unleashed.

Simply put; there was no way not to be hyped for SmackDown after watching this.
