Okay, so it isn't a traditional triple threat, but three entities did battle and that is close enough for me. This time last year the Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley approved 'Diva's Revolution' was in its early stages, and WWE did that 'throw everyone into one story' thing it generally loves doing with its female competitors.

This was a three-way elimination match between Team PCB (Paige, Charlotte, Becky Lynch), Team B.A.D (Sasha Banks, Naomi, Tamina) and Team Bellas (Nikki, Brie, Alicia Fox). Elimination rules were in effect, so if an individual was defeated their entire team was out. Tamina ate the first pin, before Becky pinned Brie to pick up the victory for the former Submission Sorority.

Rose-tinting aside, this match was not very good. It knocked back a number of people who felt that a revolution in women's wrestling could work, as it involved way too many individuals with no story focus outside of 'we're having a revolution'.

What it did do was ram home the fact that Charlotte isn't a babyface and that Sasha Banks was going to be misused for some time to come. As we head towards SummerSlam 2016, women's wrestling is in much better shape.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
