Every WWE To AEW Defection Ranked From Worst To Best

1. Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley sauntering and swaggering to the ring with cockiness and determination is a lasting memory for any wrestling fan watching AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV before he beat down Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho and the referee.

Prior to Double or Nothing, Moxley released a compelling video on Twitter of him being released from jail, which was symbolic of his time spent in WWE. Moxley has spoken of why he abandoned WWE, commenting "If there's one thing I want to do now, I want to prove that WWE's creative process sucks. It does not work. It's absolutely terrible. It's killing the company and I think Vince is the problem. Not so much Vince, but Vince and whatever structure he started building around himself."

Moxley found the creative freedom he was looking for in AEW, where so far he’s been the company’s lead babyface and competed in some of the most brutal matches in modern day competition. His unsanctioned match at Fyter Fest against Joey Janela, his Lights Out match with Kenny Omega at Full Gear, his Empty Arena No Holds Barred match on Dynamite with Jack Hager, his I Quit match with Eddie Kingston at Full Gear, and his fight against Omega once more in an Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match at Revolution.

He also won the AEW World title from Jericho for a record-setting reign a277 days along the way, and looks like he’s just getting started, looking and performing better with age.
