Every WWE Tough Enough Winner: Where Are They Now?

4. Daniel Puder (2004)

Then: Daniel Puder will forever be remembered as the guy who might've broken Kurt Angle's arm on a 2004 episode of SmackDown had WWE officials not intervened and stopped the segment. It was an embarrassing moment for Angle, but it created backstage hell for Puder. He was looked upon as an arrogant young lion who needed to be humbled.

So, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and (yep, you guessed it) Hardcore Holly ripped his chest to shreds with vicious chops during the 2005 Royal Rumble match. Then, they dumped Dan out of the match like he meant nothing, and he was shipped off to developmental. Presumably, he also had a few painful and sleepless nights due to the state of his sternum.

Season 4 winner Puder also had a crummy boxing match, which WWE called a 'Dixie Dog Fight' vs. The Miz at Armageddon 2004.

Now: Daniel was released from his WWE contract in September 2005 without ever reaching the main roster for a second stab at it. Undeterred, he later signed with Ring Of Honor and even wrestled a bunch of matches for New Japan in 2010; Puder even wrestled current WWE man Shinsuke Nakamura in his debut bout.

There was a time when he was considered a can't miss prospect who had a bright future, but Daniel has drifted away from wrestling (he returned for a one off match in 2019) to form his own anti-bullying business before going on to work with the police department whilst touring around various schools delivering his 'say no to bullies' message.

Like several others who'd have the chance on this list, Puder is unlikely to ever make a WWE comeback.
